The length seems kinda too long for me. I might have something decent to submit, but doubt I’ll haveanything. The pay also seems a bit on the lame price, of course it’s gotta sell at least one copy per author divided by two. So that would be 12 cents if they sell it for 99 cents. Eitherway, its a publishing credit and a whiff of some loose change, unless they have a great marketing strategy I’m not aware of. So good luck. 🙂

It’s free and it’s the best way to submit to any publications. Want money? Want just to be publish? This is the site for you. I’ve been using it for a least a year now and it helped me get several short stories up online. You can search for any genre and fiction type. From novels to flash fiction, to horror to speculative fiction. It’s huge, with over 4,175 publication in their data base and it’s all free. Freeeeeeeee.

They collect donations to keep running, so if they help you donate to keep them running. There’s no other site like it.

Note: They also are very reputable and if a site doesn’t pay you, you can report them and get their list removed.

Entangled In Romance Is Looking For Submissions

Okay, don’t look at me like that. Just keep reading, it’s very relevant to A Knife And A Quill.

Entangled In Romance is “Calling for Submissions”. They have four different “calls” mostly on romance, but two caught my eye.

Zombie Fairy Tales (Ever Afters) : 20k-40k piece with a strong romantic element, scraping along side a fairy tale with a twist.

House of Horrors (Flirts) : 10k-15k piece also with strong romance, that dances with paranormal house haunting.

They are a fairly new site, almost a year old, and make a lot of promises. Read their royalty page for more info. If you got some manuscripts lying  around it wont hurt to toss them their way.
